The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office became aware of the bomb threat late Tuesday night. Authorities said the reported post threatened a school located outside of Sonoma County.
Investigators identified the person who allegedly made the post as 18-year-old Ryan Sweeney. A search of Sweeney’s residence “confirmed he did not have access to any bomb-making materials,” the sheriff’s office said.
Sweeney was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail for making criminal threats. He was released on $30,000 bail.
“Think before you post!” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.
