Harrison County Historical Museum unveils funeral home history exhibit

MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — The Harrison County Historical Museum is introducing a new, free exhibit on October 9 at Marshall Mercantile.

‘Preserving History: A Funeral Home Exhibit’ is set to have its grand opening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

New immersive displays of photographs, artifacts, and stories honor an underappreciated profession that is based around service, care, and culture.

Attendees can learn about the role funeral homes have historically played in Harrison County, their history, and significance.

The exhibit features items from Rains-Talley Funeral Home, Sullivan Funeral Home, and Peoples Funeral Home.
