Five Guys to open Abilene location

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Five Guys burger restaurant is opening a location in Abilene.

The restaurant will be located on the 900 block of South Clack Street near Red Lobster.

Documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) show a $1,200,000 renovation project will begin at that location October 15. 

TDLR documents reveal renovations, “will include new partition walls, ceilings, restrooms, new plumbing installation, new electrical installation, new HVAC installation w/ kitchen exhaust hood, new floor and wall finishes.”

Currently, the project is estimated to be complete by December 5.

A brief biography on Five Guys’ website states the restaurant first, “opened their doors in 1986 as a small, carry-out burger joint in Arlington, Virginia. Now, nearly 40 years later, we operate more than 1,900 restaurants worldwide – all driven by an obsessive focus on quality and consistency.”

Five Guys now has locations in every U.S. state but Alaksa, as well as Washington D.C.
