Burglar caught on camera breaking into Abilene home identified, 2nd suspect still at large
Police say Tramaine Davis was taken into custody for Theft, Burglary of Habitation, and Evading Arrest after he was caught leaving the scene of the burglary, which happened at home near the intersection of Corsicana Avenue and Burbank Drive just before noon Wednesday.
A family member told KTAB and KRBC the homeowner, who was not there, watched two suspects, including Davis, enter the home on their security cameras and begin stealing stuff while inside.
This homeowner called police, and when officers arrived and surrounded the home, the suspects attempted to flee the scene by exiting through a window.
One suspect got away, but Davis was caught and arrested. He now remains held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling more than ,000.
Crime Stoppers reward money is now being offered for anyone who can identify the 2nd suspect involved. Just call (325)676-8477 to leave an anonymous tip!
