City launches Park Jackson, revamps downtown parking

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson leaders announced improvements are coming to downtown parking.

The city launched Park Jackson, which is the new on-street parking program. They said the changes are designed to make parking more convenient, flexible, and affordable for residents, workers, and visitors.

According to officials, there is no longer a two-hour parking limit. They said drivers can pay for the time they plan to stay using the kiosk or mobile app.

Monthly parking permits are also available for $65 for frequent visitors and downtown workers. Officials said drivers with the permits can park at any Park Jackson metered spot without having to pay at a kiosk or use the app each time.

Drivers can visit www.ParkJackson.com for information on how to purchase a permit.
