Arkansas Department of Transportation announces $20M in grants for 'transportation alternatives'
ARDOT said in a news release that 67 projects were awarded grants as part of the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and Recreational Trails Program (RTP).
The full list of awardees can be found in the document below.
ARDOT said the TAP provides funding for programs and projects defined as “transportation alternatives” for pedestrians, bicyclists and other non-motorized forms of transportation.
Eligible projects include construction of on-road and off-road trail facilities that include sidewalks, bicycle infrastructure, pedestrian and bicycle signals, lighting and other safety-related infrastructure.
