According to the Janesville Police Department, officers were called to the 1500 block of Woodman Drive for a reported child abduction.
Police were told that a child had left the residence in the company of an adult male.
Both the suspect, identified as Daniel Munoz, and the victim were located in Walworth County.
According to police, detectives uncovered evidence that Munoz had been having sexual contact with the victim over several months in both Janesville and Milton.
Munoz was arrested on October 7th.
In Janesville, he faces criminal charges of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, abduction of another’s child, and possession of child pornography.
In Milton, he faces charges of engaging in repeated acts of sexual assault with the same child, child enticement, battery/domestic violence, disorderly conduct, and strangulation.
