
As a result of the investigation, Reginald Weeden, 38, was arrested and charged with:
- Distribution of a Schedule I drug (Marijuana).
- Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I drugs (Marijuana).
- Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I drugs (Synthetic Cannabinoid).
- Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I drugs (THC Wax).
- Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II drugs (Fentanyl).
- Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II drugs (Amphetamine Pills).
- Possession of a Schedule I drug (MDMA).
- Possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance.
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
- Possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II drugs (Marijuana).
- Possession of a Schedule I drug (Psilocybin Mushrooms).
Brandon Kenney, 57, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II drugs (Marijuana), possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff’s office learned in September and October that Weeden was selling a lot of marijuana from a location in the 2200 block of N. Foster Drive.
During the investigation, surveillance was conducted at that location along with a controlled purchase from Weeden, EBRSO said. They said the purchase involved marijuana.
Agents found out that Weeden had a home in the 10000 block of Park Ridge Drive.
Search warrants were executed at different locations, including Park Ridge Drive, Fern Drive, and N. Foster Drive.
On Wednesday, the LPSO conducted the search warrant on Park Ridge Drive while EBRSO did the same at the other locations.
Two guns were found and seized along with drugs and money.
The sheriff’s office said drugs and money found in East Baton Rouge Parish include:
- 16.8 grams of fentanyl in powder and pill form or 168 lethal dosages.
- 7.91 pounds of marijuana.
- 1.44 pounds of THC Wax.
- 7.52 pounds of synthetic cannabinoid or Mojo.
- Two dosage units of MDMA pills.
- 33.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
- 15 dosage units of amphetamine pills.
- $1,225 pending seizure.
- Six digital scales.
- Plastic bags.
- A vacuum sealer.
- Boxes of plastic bags.
In Livingston Parish, the following was seized by law enforcement.
- 4.01 ounces of marijuana.
- Five dosage units of amphetamine.
- Four dosage units of oxycodone.
- One dosage unit of clonazepam.
- Three digital scales and plastic bags.
Weeden admitted during an interview that he had three pounds of marijuana inside his home on Fern Drive.
According to EBRSO, Weeden was convicted of manslaughter in 2005, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle in 2020, negligent homicide in 2021, and attempted illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in 2024.
EBRSO said Kenney admitted that all the marijuana in his bedroom and the shed was his. He said Weeden gave him the marijuana.
Weeden was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on Wednesday.
The EBRSO K9 Division, SWAT, Construction Services, and CIU Division were joined by the Livingston Parish Narcotics Division, LA Probation and Parole Baton Rouge and DEA Task Force Baton Rouge on this investigation.
