Minneapolis Police said a woman was arrested Tuesday after she reportedly broke into a mosque and began arguing with people inside.
According to the police report, around 8:49 a.m., a woman in her 30s reportedly forced her way through a locked door into Alhikma Islamic Center.
After making her way inside, the woman reportedly began a “verbal altercation” with someone inside before leaving. After contacting the police, someone inside the building followed the woman until the police arrived and found her near 32nd Street East and Blaisdell Avenue South.
She was arrested for an outstanding warrant and damage to property.
Police also said they are looking into any connection the woman might have to a fire that occurred outside the mosque on Sept. 29th. However, she has not been charged in connection with the fire at this time.
