On Oct. 8, The Topeka Scarecrows hosted a party for the team’s first season ticket holders. The team and coaching staff introduced themselves to the fans, as well as a new Scarecrows craft beer. Some of the fans tell 27 news why they’re excited for the upcoming season.
“I was excited about it when I first heard they were coming back,” said Kris Dodds, a Scarecrows season ticket holder. “Everything that they do on the ice is going to be supported by the fans, the citizens of Topeka and the surrounding areas.”
K-State students paint Aggieville purple for homecoming week
“Looking forward to some good plays, some good hits,” said Larry Davis, a Scarecrows season ticket holder. “Hockey in general is just fast hard-hitting fun, you get little fist scuffs every now and again and the passion it’s all about the passion.”
The Scarecrows’ regular season starts Oct. 10 and the home opener is one week later on Oct. 17.
