The readers are New Orleans kids from third grade to high school seniors.
WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood says the reward is sweet.
It’s a sno-ball from Get Stuffed by Sno-La. Here, you can get just about anything stuffed inside your sno-ball, like cake, cookies or brownies.
Kids read books and write reports, and the reward is a sno-ball. It’s the deal of the month through the end of October.
Owner Kerry Crossley says, “the sweet taste of success for those kids who read all those books and put in all that time.”
Wood asks an 11-year-old, New Orleans sixth grader named Remy, “Is this the inspiration it takes to read more books?”
Remy says, “No, I just love reading and diving into new stories and characters.”
But it is, Remy says, “the icing on the cake and the glaze on the doughnut.”
