Kansas State University students hit the streets of Aggieville on Oct. 8 to decorate the area in the leadup to the big game against Texas Christian University this weekend. This marks the 110th homecoming celebration for the university.
Over the years, “paint the ville” has become a fan favorite for local students. This year’s theme is “K-State of mind” with students scoring points for the organizations they represent by having the best window.
“One the weather is beautiful out and it just makes it so much better,” said Haley Davis, a student with Sigma Kappa at K-State. “And also just getting to bond with all my sisters, like some of these girls… we all are in the same sororities but we don’t always get to see each other every single day so getting to spend a lot of time with them, getting to know them a little bit more. It’s definitely great so.”
People can check out the painted windows in Aggieville through the rest of the week. K-State’s homecoming game against TCU kicks off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11.
