High-speed motorcycle pursuit ends in crash west of Putnam
Cisco police say the chase began when an officer spotted a motorcycle being driven recklessly along I-20 and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect, identified as Andrew Delaughter of Carbon, Texas, allegedly refused to stop, leading officers on a 12-mile pursuit.
The chase ended when Delaughter lost control of the motorcycle just west of Putnam. No serious injuries were reported.
Delaughter was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including felony evading arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license, among others.
The Cisco Police Department was assisted by DPS personnel, the Eastland County Sheriff’s Office, and the Callahan County Sheriff’s Office during the incident.
