GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WOWK) – The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office says “several individuals” have been detained after narcotics were found at two homes on the same road.

According to Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin, the search warrants were part of an extensive drug trafficking investigation. He says they went to the first home on Skidmore Road in Springfield Township to serve a search warrant and found narcotics.

Champlin says at the first home, several people were detained as part of the investigation. Later, authorities served a search warrant at another home on Skidmore Road, where they also found narcotics.

The sheriff says more information will be made available in regard to the investigation. He has not yet announced what type of narcotics were found at the properties.
