IMPD: 1 critical after shooting on east side; suspect in custody
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 7:32 p.m. to the 5700 block of E. Washington Street in response to a disturbance and shots fired run. IMPD said officers arrived and located an adult male in an apartment building suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable condition after being treated by doctors, according to IMPD. Police confirmed they have a suspect in custody.
Police reported that the shooting was likely the result of a dispute between individuals who were arguing about the amount of noise being made in their neighborhood.
