Three tornadoes confirmed in Tangipahoa Parish Monday morning
The first one touched down at 3:59 AM near Hammond and lifted at 4:14 AM near Independence. This tornado produced EF1 damage, with wind speeds around 90 mph. Along the path of the tornado, damage was done to trees, and a home lost parts of its roof at the intersection of Faller Road and Tycer Lane.
A second tornado touched down near Loranger around 5:11 AM and lifted at 5:21 AM. The tornado had winds of 70 mph and produced mainly tree damage along its path.
A third tornado touched down around 5:11 AM near Robert. The tornado quickly intensified to an EF1 with wind speeds around 90 mph. This tornado snapped multiple trees and also caused roof damage to a manufactured home.
