Shreveport Fire Department Mourns the Loss of Captain Victor Green
He began his career with the department on June 16, 1995, and most recently served at Fire Station 21 as a key member of the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting program, where he provided vital fire protection services at the Shreveport Regional Airport.
The Shreveport Fire Department expressed deep gratitude to the fire crews and staff at Christus Highland Medical Center for their efforts and care during Captain Green’s final moments.
Captain Green’s passing marks the second loss for the department within a month.
The Shreveport Fire Department is asking citizens to keep Captain Green’s family and loved ones in their thoughts and prayers during this time of mourning.
A statement from the fire chief reflects on Green’s impact, “He was more than a firefighter. He was a great friend, a brother, and a mentor to many within our ranks. His leadership, kindness, and service will not be forgotten.
The department says they will honor his memory and the legacy of sacrifice he leaves behind.
