During the early morning hours of October 6, 2025, police said they worked with Madison County deputies to stop a stolen vehicle that was traveling northbound on Interstate 55.
According to investigators, they attempted to stop the stolen Chevrolet Tahoe near the 112-mile marker of I-55, but the driver refused to stop. The suspect, who was identified as Joshua Ethan Davidson, was arrested without further incident. Officers said they found a stolen firearm inside the vehicle.
Davidson was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, felony eluding a police officer and reckless driving. He is being held at the Madison County Detention Center.
