Deputies searching for escaped inmate in West Baton Rouge Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A search is ongoing for an escape inmate in Erwinville.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said Randall Boyett, an inmate from Webster Parish, was being transported when he escaped around 8:47 a.m. Monday.

Deputies are searching around Poydras Bayou Road and U.S. 190. Boyett is described as wearing a white shirt and black jogging pants and shackled with handcuffs at the waist.

Multiple deputies are on scene, as well as help from other members of law enforcement. 

If anyone sees someone who matches the description of the escaped inmate, call 911.
