Man killed in Metairie car crash

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — A man is dead following a car crash in Metairie Sunday, Oct. 5.

According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash around 6:00 a.m. on Veterans Boulevard, near Neyrey Drive. Deputies found an injured man inside a white, two-door vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

JPSO officials said the initial investigation suggested that the car was traveling east on Veterans Boulevard when it struck multiple curbs before hitting a tree on the meridian.
