JPD searches for two suspects in fatal Booker Street shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for two suspects after a 44-year-old man was killed during a shooting.

The incident occurred in the 3100 block of Booker Street on October 4, 2025.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said Michael Cannon, 44, was found deceased at the scene. He had been shot multiple times.

Brown said the two suspects were in a black Honda Accord.
