Area bank warning customers of scam letters being mailed

An area bank is warning its customers of scam letters being mailed. First National Bank of Izard County says they have been receiving reports of residents in the area receiving letters claiming to be from the bank. The letter uses alarming language like “FINAL NOTICE” and asks the person to call a toll-free number about your property. It may contain a fake allocated waiver for $199 to make it look more official.

The bank is warning residents if you get such a letter:
-Do not call the number
-Do not provide any personal information
-If you need to contact First National Bank of Izard County, call 870-297-3711
-Report the letter to the Federal Trade Commission or the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office.
