According to Greenbrier County 911, the cave is located in Frankford right off of Vago Road. A Facebook post made by Frankford Volunteer Fire Department further revealed that these people were located 2,500 feet inside the cave.
Rope teams were called in to address the situation at around 8:16 p.m. The responding agencies include Lewisburg Volunteer Fire Department, Frankford Volunteer Fire Department, White Sulphur Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and White Sulphur Springs EMS.
First responders were able to safely get everyone people out of the cave. Three separate rescue teams enter the cave to assist those trapped.
Nobody was transported to the hospital and no injuries were officially reported, Greenbrier County 911 confirmed.
