South Windsor crash closes roadway, driver injured
According to the South Windsor Fire Department, crews were called to the scene shortly after the crash alongside the ambulance service and police.
The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was evaluated before being brought by ambulance. Pierce Road was closed to traffic at Ellington Road and Strong Road while emergency personnel cleared the scene. Officials did not say when the roadway reopened.
No additional details about the crash of the driver’s condition have been released.
