MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — On September 26, the Marshall Police Department‘s Special Response Team (SRT), in conjunction with the Upshur County Sheriff‘s Office, arrested Florencio Scott Sauceda, II, 23.

Sauceda was taken into custody in Diana, Texas, and transported to the Harrison County Jail. He is accused of Sexual Assault of a Child and Continuous Violence Against Family.

Police say when the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office located Sauceda in Diana, he barricaded himself inside the residence.

The Marshall Police Department’s SRT executed the arrest and thanked Longview Police Chief Anthony Boone and Upshur County Sheriff Larry Webb for their cooperation.

Marshall Police Chief Cliff Carruth said, “Individuals who commit violent crimes and then attempt to evade justice will be pursued and held accountable.”

“This case highlights the importance of strong partnerships with our neighboring law enforcement agencies and our shared commitment to protecting the public.”
