Destrehan won the catfight at Wildcat Stadium with a 41-28 victory.
In the shootout, it was the battle of the ‘backs. Terrebonne’s Quincy Adams v. Destrehan’s Malachi Dabney. Despite Adams’ three-score night, Dabney came out on top with four scores, 146 yards on 23 carries.
Pioneering the Wildcat offense was Jackson Fields, who missed this contest last season.
Fields completed 13 of 17 passes for 174 yards and 3 scores.
Defensively, Destrehan had two interceptions, both in the final quarter, including Frank Harding whose pick resulted in Dabney’s last touchdown.
