Woman last seen 6 months ago on Indy’s south side still missing
Indianapolis Metro police announced on April 30 that detectives were searching for Garcia, who was last seen on April 1 in the 400 block of Sandra Lane. Now, over six months after her disappearance, Garcia is still missing.
IMPD described Garcia as a 5’4″, 165-pound woman with “black/reddish” hair and brown eyes. Garcia’s family said they received a phone call from her on April 12 stating she was not coming back.
Police added that Garcia reportedly enjoys visiting Garfield Park and Fountain Square, where she would “sometimes stay in the homeless areas.” She was reportedly last seen with a man named Steven Long, but no description of him was provided.
After six months, Garcia’s family is still concerned about the mother’s well-being and is still searching for her. Garcia’s daughter has reached out to FOX59/CBS4 asking that her mother’s story be recirculated in hopes of sparking new leads.
Anyone with information related to her disappearance is asked to contact (317) 327-6160 or (317) 327-3811. To make an anonymous tip, call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
