IMPD: Woman last seen on Indy’s south side, missing since April 1

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are searching for a woman last seen on the south side of Indianapolis last month.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for 42-year-old April Marie Garcia, who was last seen in the 400 block of Sandra Lane on April 1. IMPD described Garcia as a 5’4″ woman weighing 165 pounds with “black/reddish” hair.

IMPD added that Garcia reportedly enjoys visiting Garfield Park and Fountain Square, where she would “sometimes stay in the homeless areas.” She was reportedly last seen with a man named Steven Long. His description was provided by police.

IMPD began investigating her disappearance after Garcia reportedly told one of her relatives that she would not be returning home during a phone call.
