Rockford’s Art Scene returns, transforming the city into a gallery without walls

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rockford Art Scene, a beloved bi-annual event in Rockford, returns this weekend, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of local art.

Since 1987, Art Scene has been a tradition that allows residents to engage with artists and explore a wide array of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and jewelry. The event is free to the public and spans 39 businesses and locations across Rockford.

The event kicks off Friday, running from 5 to 10 PM, and continues Saturday from 4 to 9 PM. Attendees can visit any of the participating venues without an admission fee, making art accessible to everyone in the community.

With no cost to attend and a wide variety of art forms on display, “Art Scene” offers a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to experience the creativity and talent of local artists in Rockford.
