NOPD Superintendent set to meet with National Guard
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick plans to meet with the National Guard after the governor requested that they be deployed to the city.
Kirkpatrick reached out to city council members telling them she will meet with the governor, the National Guard Adjutant General and other leaders with State Police Superintendent Robert Hodges.
The governor made the request earlier this week, calling for the guard to be deployed to New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport to help fight crime.
