Friday’s temperatures will be similar to today’s, with upper 70s and low 80s for most, but we will see an uptick in moisture and a mix of sun and clouds. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible in northern Utah with a slight chance of it making into the south, but it shouldn’t be a washout. Saturday is when we expect the heart of the storm to move into the state, along with falling temperatures.
Saturday will feature scattered showers and thunderstorms in northern Utah with isolated activity making its way into the central part of the state. Temperatures will plummet all the way into the 50s for northern valleys, low 60s for southern Utah valleys, and 40s to low 50s for higher terrain. We could even see a few snow showers in the mountains overnight.
By Sunday the wet weather will have moved out, but cool weather will be slow to warm, only returning to the 70s in the middle of the week.
