DENTON (KDAF) — With Halloween around the corner, SIXT uncovered the most haunted roads in the U.S., using TikTok and Google search trends to reveal the spookiest streets across the country.

As night falls and the road fades into darkness, eerie phenomena awaken on one of Texas most haunted roads: Goatman’s Bridge.

Goatman’s Bridge in Texas Ranks #4 Among America’s Most Haunted Roads

Denton’s infamous Goatman’s Bridge, built in 1884, is said to be haunted by the vengeful spirit of Oscar Washburn, a local farmer who vanished after a brutal attack by a mob. Locals report eerie encounters—glowing red eyes, ghostly figures, and the stench of decay—while legends warn that knocking or honking three times at midnight can summon the terrifying Goatman, making the bridge a chilling destination for ghost hunters.
