WGNO’s Natalie Parsons stopped by on Thursday ready for some weatherly fun…
Students got to sing and dance to “What’s the Weather?” and the “Seasons Song.”
Then they saw one of Natalie’s recent weather reports in addition to learning about the different colors on radar particularly for storms and wintery conditions, severe weather safety, cloud types and more.
She even came baring a little gift as a “thank you” for this very special invitation!
Natalie says, “I had such a blast with this group! Great kids and super smart too. Nothing better than getting out into the community and helping little munchkins explore the ‘Wonderful World of Weather’ because they’re our future.”
Our Natalie Parsons has a background as a Substitute Teacher for K-8, special education, physical education, art and technology so any opportunity to get back in the classroom she will never say no to — and makes sure to tailor each weather visit’s content accordingly.
If you’d like to arrange for a future school weather visit, please email Natalie Parsons at nparsons@wgno.com as well as WGNO’s Chief Meteorologist Hank Allen and Carrigan Chauvin.
