The 12-year-old was one of 23 people wounded during the mass shooting in Minneapolis on Aug. 27. Two of those victims, 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel and 10-year-old Harper Moyski, were killed in the attack.
Kaiser needed three brain surgeries after being shot.
Her family said in the Tuesday GoFundMe post that “she will need ongoing care for the foreseeable future, but she remains a brave little fighter and she is feeling stronger every day.”
She can’t get back to playing sports quite yet, but her family says that she will be cheering her teammates on all the way.
