LSP investigating after suspect apprehended following high-speed chase on I-10
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A suspect is in custody after a high-speed chase on I-10 West Thursday morning.
The Louisiana State Police said troopers were in pursuit of a vehicle that committed a traffic violation and did not stop when asked to do so. The suspect’s vehicle reached speeds over 120 mph.
Troopers said the vehicle lost control and veered off the road at mile marker 191. According to LSP, the crash happened at 6:44 a.m.
They confirmed that the suspect was apprehended, and their identity and charges are forthcoming.
The investigation remains ongoing, and more details will be shared as they become available.
