NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal carjacking that started in Mid-City and ended with the alleged suspect critically wounded on I-10.
The NOPD said the carjacking victim was shot on Bienville but died a few blocks away on Canal Street
Wells is in the hospital in critical condition. The NOPD said he will face a murder charge when he’s released.
