3 stores that shuttered in Union Square reopening at different SF mall
The three retailers are now opening at Stonestown Galleria on the other side of San Francisco, mall owner Brookfield Properties confirmed to KRON4. DSW opened last week and is located next to Whole Foods. The shoe retailer reportedly departed Union Square in 2021.
JINS Eyewear will open this Friday, Oct. 3 and is located next to Kizuki Ramen, according to Brookfield Properties. The Japanese eyewear company shuttered its Union Square location in August 2022 after debuting there in 2015.
H&M, located on the upper level across from Daiso, is scheduled to open in late November. The retailer makes its return to Stonestown after previously reportedly closing a store inside the mall in 2022.
The fast fashion giant closed its Powell Street brick-and-mortar in 2020. The H&M inside the San Francisco Centre mall remains open.
The three new stores in Stonestown come after three new restaurants have opened within the past year. Supreme Dumplings, Le Soleil and Kizuki Ramen are among the mall’s latest dining additions.
Earlier this year, an announcement was made about which establishment would replace the McDonald’s that closed in 2024. Raising Cane’s would replace the burger chain that operated at the mall’s corner for more than 30 years.
