For more than 20 years, the front yard becomes a “boneyard” filled with satirical skeletons.
WGNO’s Kenny Lopez shows us what’s new this year!
Louellen Berger, the owner and skeleton designer at Skeleton House NOLA is taking her boneyard to new heights with new spooky and satirical skeletons that will tickle your funny fibulas.
Last year, the theme was Taylor Swift to tie into the Eras Tour which was in New Orleans last October. This year, the Taylor tale continues.
“Anything Travis and Taylor these days. They did get engaged in his yard garden, so I did these skeletons to look like the yard garden, and of course I had to include the big, big ring,” Berger said.
I’m sure you’re dying to know what other music icons are in her boneyard.
Some of the musicians featured this year are Fats Domino, Harry Connick Jr., Ernie K. Doe, River Eckert, Katy Perry, Chappell Roan and Beyoncé.
“An artist that I’ve admired for years and years, but I couldn’t think of clever name for is Beyoncé. How could she fit with my bone theme? All of a sudden it hit my husband, Darryl. He said, how about “The Great Beyond-cé,” Berger said.
Berger also decided this year to poke fun at one of the year’s top stories. Remember the infamous Jumbotron incident at the Coldplay concert this summer?
