On Friday, a man identified as Leo Schlid, 44, of Rohnert Park, was arrested after the Petaluma Police Department said he robbed a Target. Schlid left the store with stolen merchandise and then pushed an employee who attempted to stop him, according to authorities.
Officers said they found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on Schlid after he was detained. He was booked into Sonoma County jail for robbery, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.
On Sunday, Chaz Troy Burnett, 44, of San Francisco, allegedly stole merchandise valued at $699.95 from a Nike store. Burnett attempted to run from responding Petaluma officers and hide the stolen products before being detained, police said. He was arrested and booked into the county jail for shoplifting, theft and resisting arrest.
Petaluma PD later responded to Target on Sunday on the report of two people concealing merchandise. Officers said the suspects, identified as 27-year-old Maria Medina Espinoza and 26-year-old Ermes Romero Parrado, both of Santa Rosa, stole approximately $1,354.25 before they were arrested for shoplifting and conspiracy.
