
Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation could be seen searching a home the afternoon of Sept. 29 in the 1700 block of Southeast 24th Street in Topeka. FBI
27 News reached out to the FBI offices in Kansas City to learn more about the situation. FBI spokesman Dixon Land responded but could offer little information as to why agents were in the east Topeka neighborhood.
“I can confirm the FBI had a lawful presence in the area in an ongoing matter,” Land said. “I can’t provide any other details at this time.”
FBI agents have appeared at other locations in Topeka this year. Federal agents were seen at a local post office investigating a hazardous situation on July 25 and raided a strip club on June 6.
