Aimee Bock’s former boyfriend charged with tax crimes in connection with money she gave him

The former boyfriend of Feeding Our Future’s founder, Aimee Bock, was charged with tax crimes earlier this month, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Empress Malcolm Watson Jr. faces two counts of filing false or fraudulent tax returns, one count of failing to file individual income tax returns and three counts of failing to pay income taxes.

The department says that investigators started looking into Watson’s tax history after receiving a tip relating to “a separate criminal investigation of his significant other” — Bock. From 2020-2022, Watson received over $1 million for work he did while working for Feeding Our Future, as well as work that his remodeling company did for the now-defunct non-profit.

State officials say Watson “significantly underreported” his taxable income by hundreds of thousands of dollars and even failed to file a return or pay income tax in 2022. He owes $64,000 in income tax, according to the department.

Watson is also accused of spending over $680,000 on travel, jewelry, and vehicles by making cash withdrawals or transferring money to other accounts.

In Bock’s trial, jurors were shown photos of the two’s trips and luxury cars.
