Taylor Swift’s ‘Life of a Showgirl’ era fuels record demand for merchandise

DALLAS (KDAF) — A recent study conducted by custom patch specialists Ninja Patches took a deep dive into Google search trends to uncover which Billboard Top 100 artists are generating the most buzz—not just on the charts, but in online merchandise demand. By analyzing search terms like “[artist] merch,” “[artist] merchandise,” and “[artist] official merch,” the research aimed to identify which musicians are not only topping playlists but also driving clicks and carts.

Taylor Swift has the most in-demand merchandise out of any artist, with an average monthly search volume of 239,180. As anticipation for her new album The Life of a Showgirl grows, Swift has been releasing limited-edition merchandise available only for short periods. The most recent merchandise release was ‘The Life of a Showgirl Crewneck Sweatshirt Box Set,’ which retails for $65.

Sabrina Carpenter ranks second with an average monthly search volume of 147,246. Her recent album, Man’s Best Friend, was released on August 29, 2025, and her ongoing tour drives a strong demand for limited-edition tour merchandise among fans. Carpenter’s most searched-for merchandise on Google is posters.

Kendrick Lamar is third with an average monthly search volume of 117,045. Lamar is currently on his ‘Grand National Tour’, and fans are continuing to show support by making his merchandise one of the most sought-after out of all artists.
