St. John Parish deputies discover body in LaPlace vehicle

LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) — A LaPlace man is in police custody following the discovery of a body.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, the St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Tyler Bourgeois on allegations of second-degree murder.

Deputies said the body was found in the trunk of Bourgeois’ car which he was driving.

The victim was identified as 21-year-old Tylen Anderson from LaPlace.

Sheriff Mike Trege will release more information on the case at a press conference on Monday, Sept. 29.
