Marshall’s FireAnt Festival returns with ‘Let’s go viral’ theme

MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — On October 11, the 43rd Annual FireAnt Festival is coming to downtown Marshall with the official theme ‘Let’s Go Viral‘.

One of Marshall’s biggest events, the FireAnt Festival, features events and activities for all ages.

The main stage at Telegraph Park will feature live entertainment throughout the day.

An expanded children’s area will contain monster inflatables and carnival rides.

Fireant festival staples, such as the FireAnt Festival parade, Diaper Derby, and Annual Cupcake Contest, return.

The TourDeFireAnt long-distance bike ride, the FireAnt 5K, the Toddler Trot, and the Kids K will again be featured events.

The Chicken Chuckin’ contest, Kids Dance-Off, Scavenger Hunt, Gurning contest, and a cornhole tournament are also on the slate of events.

Product and food vendor booths will provide the best food and wares of local businesses.

For those who have not attended, the FireAnt Festival is peak Marshall and one of the longest-running festivals in East Texas and Northwest Louisiana.
