Man dies after being stabbed multiple times in SE Fresno
The Fresno Police Department received a report that a man had been stabbed around 10:45 a.m. in the 4500 block of East Garrett Avenue, near Maple Avenue.
First responders said they arrived to find the victim, a Hispanic male in his late 30’s, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
Police said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40’s who fled the area in a black mid-size four-door sedan. That vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Maple Avenue as it left the area.
Investigators said the motive for the attack is currently unknown, but all leads will be followed up on.
The department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
