Tomorrow’s forecast

A rather hot Monday: Temperatures will be rather hot on Monday.  After many locations saw lows this weekend in the 50s, we will likely begin the workweek with lows in the low to middle 60s.  Daytime highs on Monday will be several degrees above normal in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Don’t expect much change in the weather for the rest of the week.

Futurecast outlook for the next 36 hours

No rain in sight: The dry weather pattern that began late last week will continue.  Futurecast shows that we will see a clear to partly cloudy sky on Sunday night.  Expect plenty of sunshine to mix in with a few clouds on Monday.  We will stay clear to partly cloudy on Monday night and Tuesday.  Futurecast does show a few spotty showers to the east of the ArkLaTex late on Tuesday, but it is doubtful that our area will see much, if any, rain.

A little rain next weekend?  Possible, but unlikely:  The long-range weather picture will be mainly dry and a bit on the hot side.  Our only chance of rain could come next weekend.  A disturbance will be moving west through the Gulf. As of right now, it appears that any rain associated with this system will stay to the south of our area. The Blend of Models continues to show that most of the area will stay dry.
