On Monday, the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation and the City of Beloit jointly announced that a Milwaukee-based developer is planning to build a 200,000 square foot facility in the Gateway Business Park, at 1505 Gateway Blvd.
The land was sold to TDC Beloit, LLC. for $389,000 for 39.4 acres, with the promise that an as-yet-unannounced manufacturer will lease the entire building for packaging and distribution functions.
“This project reflects the strength and potential of the Greater Beloit area as a prime location for economic growth,” said GBEDC President/CEO Drew Pennington. “This $20 million investment underscores our commitment to fostering job creation and supporting businesses.”
The plan also provides for the potential for the tenant to build another 200,000 square foot expansion at a later date. Officials said the project is expected to create 50-150 new jobs over the next 10 years.
Construction is expected to begin in October 2025.
