
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — National Hunting and Fishing Day falls on Saturday, Sept. 27. In Louisiana, four wildlife refuges operated by the state will have multiple outdoor activities for families.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said people can participate with shooting ranges, fishing ponds and boating activities.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge
- When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Where: 480 Richland Place Drive, Monroe
Waddill Wildlife Refuge
- When: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Where: 4142 North Flannery Road, Baton Rouge
Woodworth Shooting Range
- When: 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Where: 661 Robinson Bridge Road, Woodworth
Bodcau WMA
- When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Where: 914 Bodcau Dam Road, Haughton
