Two men arrested in connection with Acadia Parish burglary
MIDLAND, La. (KLFY) — Two men were arrested in connection with a burglary in Acadia Parish, authorities said.

Gage Michael Venable, 30 of Scott, is charged with charged with simple burglary, misrepresentation during booking and resisting an officer. Hunter Joseph Guidry, 26, of Scott, is charged with simple burglary and tampering with a surveillance system.

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Deputies were notified of a burglary in progress early Thursday morning in the community of Midland, where two people were reportedly removing property from a building.

Deputies said the vehicle being used was still in the immediate area. One suspect was arrested, and the second suspect ran away. He was chased down and arrested.

Evidence was located to support charges for the burglary, officials said.

Bond details for Girard and Guidry were not released.
