U.S. Marshals arrested Daryl Beckett, 36, on Sept. 22 at a residence in Pittsburgh. Beckett was wanted for homicide in a deadly 2023 shooting in Delaware County.
During the shooting, the U.S. Marshals say someone fired more than 40 shots from a rifle into a moving vehicle, striking and killing the driver and injuring the passenger.
State Police placed Beckett on their Most Wanted list in 2024.
A U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force surveillance team observed Beckett outside a residence on the 1600 block of Brighton Place in Pittsburgh, and members from the Pittsburgh Police Department and PSP Special Emergency Response Team executed an arrest warrant shortly after without incident.
“Thanks to the outstanding collaboration between the U.S. Marshals Service and Pennsylvania State Police, a dangerous murderer has been captured, and our community is safer tonight,” said Robert Clark, supervisory deputy for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
